Kids @ the Library works to expand kids' literacy skills, flex their artistic sides, and allow them to explore our world through STEM activates! Plus, kids get a chance to socialize with peers in a fun and safe environment!
All activities and materials are appropriate for elementary aged children in grades Kindergarten - 5th.
Tuesday, 2/7 LEGO CLUB @ 3:30 PM LEGO for a Better World! Did you know that someone makes prosthetic arms out of LEGOs? Or that someone makes wheel chair ramps out of LEGOs? This month's challenge is to create things out of LEGOs that help people live a better life!
Tuesday, 2/21 3D Doodle Art Pens Doodling is fun, but have you ever created a piece of art and wanted to make it 3D? Now you can! Join us for a chance to explore both your art skills and you engineering skills in one fun place!
Tuesday, 3/7 - LEGO CLUB @ 3:30PM This month we will be creating our own creepy, crawly, cute, and curious bugs! Build 3D insects using or create 2D art of bugs using LEGOs! Come on in and see what all the BUZZ is about!
Tuesday, 3/21 - Read to a Dog @ 3:30 PM Must sign-up for a reading slot before the event! Reading to an animal is a fantastic way to build literacy confidence and fluency. Animals don't judge a beginning reader, they just want you to do your best!
This month's event will be a bit smaller than our normal ones, so be sure to sign-up at the circulation desk to join us for this Read to a Dog Session! With special thanks to the awesome R.E.A.D. teams that train and facilitate the therapy certified dogs!

Tuesday, 4/4 - LEGO CLUB @ 3:30 PM This month's challenge will be to create fabulous (fake) foods using LEGOs! We will be watching some awesome stop motion LEGO food videos and flexing our plastic chef skills to create awesome foods that we can display!
Tuesday, 4/18 - Earth Day Science @ 3:30 PM In celebration of Earth Day, the library is calling on Jr. Scientists to create a self-watering planter, explore ways to clean/filter dirty water, and create(non-explosive) seed bombs!
Read to a Donkey - Date to be Announced Soon! This month we will be taking advantage of the sweet spring weather by hosting our read to a donkey program outside! More details incoming soon!
