Summer is officially here and we will be hosting a modified Summer Reading Program this summer at the Fern Ridge Library! Sign-ups begin on June 30th and our first Kids Program will be posted on Facebook and YouTube on July 7th at 1PM!
Here's our summer line-up: 7/7 - Three Little Pigs: an Engineering Activity 7/14 - Fairy & Gnome Homes with Recyclables 7/21 - Imagine Your LEGO Story 7/28 - DIY Marionette Puppet 8/4 - DIY Catapults! 8/11 - UO Museum of Natural & Cultural History presents: Engineer It!
Each program will have an activity bag that corresponds to that week's activity. You can pick up your activity bag (while supplies last) at the Fern Ridge Library via our curbside pick-up service the week before each program! To schedule your pick-up time, please call 541-935-7512.
You can also pick up your child's Kids SRP BINGO sheets, book/media reviews, and reading logs using the curbside service. If you are interested in entering your child into our prize drawings, make sure you fill out those documents and return them to the library! Kids prizes include books, goody bags, gift cards to Radar Toys and Bricks & Minifigs, and Dairy Queen gift cards!
We will also be participating in a friendly competition with the Creswell Public Library this year. Whichever library logs the most reading hours by July 24th will get to see their Youth Services Librarian get pied in the face! Our last competition date will be August 14th and that challenge will be announced on July 24th!
