Every Child Ready to Read - Learning how to read starts before your child begins school. From the time they are babies, children learn language and other skills that help them learn how to read. These skills are called "early literacy skills". Developing early literacy skills make children stronger readers when they do begin school. Developing these skills isn't hard and you probably already work on them every day, you just don't know it! The Every Child Ready to Read Project offers simple daily activities and other resources to help you build early literacy skills in your child.
