Read to a Dog!

Read to a Dog is an Elementary Explorers program for kids in Kindergarten - 5th grade that focuses on reading confidence and fluency. At Read to a Dog children are invited to read to therapy and R.E.A.D. certified dogs! Reading to an animal is a great way for children to build reading confidence because animals don’t mind if you mispronounce a word, or miss a sentence; the dogs just love to hear kids read to them! Confident readers pick up more books, and the more a child reads the better their reading fluency and comprehension becomes!

This program runs for approximately 1 hr.
